Status Description
- The client has headquarters in Sarajevo and 5 remote construction sites that move from one location to another after a while
- There is a permanent internet at the main site
- 3G internet is used in remote locations
- Workers entered their arrivals and departures into lists, which were subsequently submitted to the payroll service, who manually entered this information into the bill
- There was a problem because the actual status of the check-in and check-out of workers could not be controlled
- The time used by the worker as an official exit when going from one location to another could not be controlled
Client’s Conditions
- Introduce electronic sign-in of workers to work through contactless cards
- Make one central database where centralized record keeping is performed, i.e. to connect remote locations with administration
- Registering all exits from administration and construction sites, such as Official Exits, Private Exits and Physician Visits
- To automatically calculate working hours for all workers on predefined shifts as well as on work units
- That all-day absences can be entered, which can later be seen through reports
- There is a possibility to change sign-in and check-out manually, as well as the possibility of automatic closing of the working day
- To set up electronic gate control at two doors that would be independent of the TAN and not registered in it
Used Equipment
- Chiyu BF-870E
- Chiyu BF20
- Chiyu SR-E1
- Software ERV 3.2 for time and attendance control
Practical Solution
- One Master Reader BF-870E is located at the administration site with assigned public static IP address
- The same reader is set up to control two doors, where pass control would only be performed without registration in TAN
- Door control is achieved via relay boxes BF-20 and additional SR-E1 readers via the RS485 bus
- One remote BF-870E is set up in Slave mode at each remote location, and a device with a public static IP address is set up as the Master device at the administration site
- An ERV 3.2 application running on the MS SQL 2005 EE database is installed at the administration site
- The application collects logs from the master reader and writes it to the database
- In the application, workers are divided into work units and assigned to a default shift
- In the current status view, a column was added to see where the employee last swiped the card
